Hello everyone, this is Niying Studio.Many watch lovers and watch repairers often get inaccurate time error data when testing Dandong upgraded movements such as 3235, 3255, 3285 and 4131. Most people do not know that these movements require a special lift angle setting on the timegrapher.
Most standard watch timing machines are factory preset to 52 degrees lift angle, which is the universal setting for ordinary mechanical movements. However, this parameter is not suitable for the latest Dandong 32 series and 4131 movements.The correct lift angle for Dandong 3235, 3255, 3285 and 4131 movements is 59 degrees.If you test these movements under the default 52-degree setting, the time deviation and amplitude data will be completely distorted. The result cannot represent the real running condition of the watch. This is the main reason why many watches look unstable on the machine but perform perfectly on the wrist.
Here is the correct testing method.After placing the watch on the timegrapher, do not read the data immediately. Let the machine stabilize for about 20 seconds. After the numbers stop fluctuating, you can start adjusting the time error accurately.For these high-precision Dandong movements, the normal amplitude standard is above 230 degrees. If your amplitude is over 230 with the correct 59-degree setting, the movement is in healthy condition.Many new sellers and beginners make the same mistake. They adjust the movement under 52 degrees, resulting in beautiful machine data but unstable daily timekeeping.
